About the role

The incumbent is responsible for assisting in increasing distribution points for strategic brands and increasing penetration through direct sales in traditional trade and employing the van sales model in key locations.

Acado Jamaica Limited (formerly known as Massy Distribution Jamaica Limited) is one of the leading distribution companies in Jamaica, representing popular international brands of pharmaceutical and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs) for over 100 years. The organisation is a joint venture between Agostini Group and Goddard Enterprises Limited. This 50-50 partnership serves as the holding company for the Group's product operations in its seven regional markets. We are seeking to identify qualified and competent individuals for the following positions:

What you’ll do

  • Visits all potential Point of Sales locations with Van Sales Representative to facilitate the promotion and sale of products
  • Packs the company van and customer shelves with merchandise
  • Offloads merchandise from the company van to customers
  • Ensures that all customer orders are checked for accuracy before delivery
  • Monitors stock levels in the company van to ensure the ability to meet the needs of customers

Qualification and Job Requirements

  • 5 CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
  • Minimum two (2) years' sales experience
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of reliability
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
