Privacy notice.
What we keep about you, why, and how to change your mind.
1Who we are
Hello Opportunity runs this site. Write to hello@hellooppo.com about anything on this page.
2What we collect
Only what a feature needs, and only with your say-so. Your account: your email and name, and a phone number, parish, field and level if you add them. Job alerts: your email and your saved searches. News and offers from us: your email, only if you tick the separate box. Your CV: only if you tick “Keep my CV in my account”. Counts of visits and Apply clicks, with nothing that names you. What you send an employer when you press Apply.
3Who sees it
Only you, and an employer for what you send them when you press Apply. We never sell personal data.
4How long
We keep an account for 24 months after you last sign in, and email you before we delete it.
5Your choices
See, correct or delete what we hold from your account page, or write to hello@hellooppo.com. Tick the boxes you want and leave the rest; you can change them any time.
6Cookies and counts
We count visits and Apply clicks on our side without a cookie.
7What stays on your device
Your profile, your resume, the roles you save and the applications you track are kept in your own browser unless you choose to keep them in your account. To delete them, clear this site’s data in your browser. We don’t ask for a TRN, NIS number, date of birth or marital status.
8Our host
The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., a US company, from its nearest data centre, usually Kingston. For every visit Cloudflare processes your IP address, the page asked for, the time, your browser and device, the page you came from and connection details, to deliver the page and protect it from attack. That sends your IP address outside Jamaica. Cloudflare keeps its own logs under its own policy; we don’t receive them.
9Applying
When you press Apply, your own email app opens with the email written, or we show you how the employer takes applications. What you send goes from you to the employer. We don’t see it.
10Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to hello@hellooppo.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner.
11Changes
When what we keep changes, this notice changes with it.
