About the role

Ena Barclay Academy of Excellence is advertising the post of Assistant Bursar (EIGS/BR 1).

Application should be submitted on or before October 27, 2026 to the following email addresses: Region2@moey.gov.jm and enabarclay.academyofexcellence.sts@moeschools.edu.jm. One (1) year experience applies to the AAT-Technician Stage/ACCA Level 1 route.

c) Specific knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of FAA Act/regulation/instruction and Government of Jamaica Procurement Procedure.
  • Knowledge of Generally Acceptable Accounting Practice
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office operations and selected accounting software.
  • Knowledge of electronic banking techniques

  • To assist with the financial and accounting affairs of the institution in a prudent manner in keeping with Government's fiscal provisions.
  • To provide accurate and timely financial information for the to the Bursar
  • To assist with administering the financial resources of the institution in accordance with Government regulations and the provisions of the Financial Administration and Auditing Act.

d) Qualifications and Experiences

  • Associate Degree in Business Studies/Accounting from a recognized institution or equivalent.
  • OR
  • Successful completion of the AAT- Technician Stage/ACCA Level 1 and one (1) year experience in Government Accounting or other relevant experience.
  • Training in Government Procurement Guidelines would be an asset
