Turn a photograph into a document.
Employers ask for more than a resume, and a certificate photographed on a kitchen table does not look like one. Your phone can fix that in a minute. Here’s how.
1LightDaylight from a window, no flash, no shadow of your phone on the page.
2FlatLay it on a dark table. Hold the phone straight above it.
3Scan, don’t photographOn an iPhone, open Notes or Files and choose Scan Documents. On Android, open Google Drive and tap Camera. Both find the edges and save a PDF.
4One file per documentAdd page two to the same scan.
5Name it
Firstname-Lastname-Certificate.pdf.6Check itOpen the PDF and zoom in. If you can’t read the smallest line, nor can the employer.
