About the role

An employer who did not give a name is advertising the post of Security Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive transportation, close protection, and operational security services. The incumbent will safeguard Company personnel, assets, facilities, and information through proactive security measures, incident response, investigations, compliance monitoring, and asset protection while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

What you’ll do

  • Provides safe, secure, and timely transportation for the General Manager and other authorized personnel.
  • Plans efficient travel routes taking into consideration traffic conditions, weather, security concerns, and operational requirements.
  • Provides close protection services during official travel, meetings, public engagements, and other authorized assignments.
  • Maintains continuous situational awareness and identifies, assesses, and responds appropriately to potential security threats and risks.
  • Conducts security assessments, route planning, and routine security inspections of vehicles and surrounding environments.
  • Responds to emergencies, accidents, security breaches, and other incidents and coordinates with the relevant authorities as required.

  • Assists with investigations into security incidents, threats, breaches, and the loss, theft, or misappropriation of Company assets.
  • Conducts security patrols and inspections to identify potential security, safety, compliance, and operational concerns.
  • Monitors and enforces access control measures to ensure that only authorized individuals gain access to Company facilities.
  • Participates in security audits, reviews, inspections, and compliance verification activities and assists in implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintains accurate records of security incidents, investigations, accidents, breaches, and other security-related activities.
  • Investigates and reports violations of Company policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Provides guidance and support regarding security procedures, hazard identification, and security awareness initiatives.
  • Safeguards Company vehicles, equipment, confidential documents, and other assets while in transit and during assigned duties.
  • Ensures assigned vehicles are maintained in a clean, safe, secure, and roadworthy condition, including coordinating routine servicing and repairs.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding travel schedules, meetings, business activities, and other sensitive Company information.
  • Liaises with internal security personnel, law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Undertakes such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

  1. 5 years’ relevant experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) CSEC/GCE O'Level subjects, including English Language.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a professional driver, with at least three (3) years providing executive/VIP transportation and/or close protection services.
  • Certification in Defensive Driving would be an asset.
  • Certification in Close Protection, Executive Protection, Security Management, or a related field from a recognized institution would be an asset.
  • Experience in armed security operations, including the safe handling and use of firearms, and knowledge of Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) requirements.
