Qualifications

Associate Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Public Sector Administration or any related field from a recognized tertiary institution Certificate in Public Procurement: INPRI Level 2 or UNDP/CIPS Level 2 would be an asset Two (2) years related work experience in a similar position.

Competencies

Sound knowledge of Government of Jamaica procurement policies, procedures, and legislation. In-depth knowledge of the FAA Act Knowledge of procurement processes and Tender Management Ability to review and evaluate bids and procurement documentation. Proficiency in standard office and procurement-related software. Excellent Computer Skills (above average competence in Microsoft Word and Excel) Excellent negotiation and analytical skills Ability to communicate with persons on various levels Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent time Management skills
