About the role

National Reconstruction & Resilience Authority is advertising the post of Director - Legal Services.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Services the role serves as NaRRA's principal legal adviser and lead the provision of strategic legal, regulatory, contractual, governance and compliance services.

What you’ll do

  • Provide authoritative legal opinions and strategic advice to executive and senior management.
  • Lead legal governance, compliance reviews and interpretation of legislation, regulations, policies and directives.
  • Direct the drafting, review, negotiation and management of contracts, agreements and legal instruments.
  • Oversee litigation, claims, disputes, external counsel and alternative dispute resolution.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor of Laws degree, Legal Education Certificate and admission to the Jamaican Bar.
  • Seven years' experience at senior legal advisory, legal management or legal leadership level.
  • Experience in public, administrative, commercial, contract, procurement law or regulatory compliance, including management of legal professionals and legal-service delivery.
